1. Who we are

Chautari Hub aggregates publicly available headlines, excerpts, and metadata from Nepali news outlets. We also provide access to Nepali radio streams, word games, and market information like forex rates and gold prices. We don't publish original reporting—every article links back to its source. When we say "we", "our", or "Chautari Hub", we mean the team running chautarihub.com and the official iOS app.

2. Using the service

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to create an account or use personalised features.
• Don't misuse the platform. That means no hacking, no scraping content with bots, and no interfering with how things work for other users.
• You can save articles, follow sources, and track your game stats for personal use. You can't resell, republish, or repackage our content without written permission.

3. News and personalisation

When you sign in, we can personalise your news feed based on what you read, follow, and hide.

• Your "For You" feed is shaped by sources and topics you follow, your reading history, articles you've hidden, and your province setting. The idea is to show you news you actually care about.
• Personalisation is optional. You can use Chautari Hub without an account and see the same feed as everyone else.
• We can't promise that recommendations will always be spot-on. The algorithm does its best with the signals you give it.
• You can reset your preferences anytime by unfollowing sources, unhiding articles, or deleting your account.

4. Radio

We provide access to live streams from Nepali radio stations. A few things to keep in mind:

• We don't own or operate the radio stations. We link to publicly available streams, and each station is responsible for its own content and broadcast rights.
• Stream availability depends on the station. Some stations may go offline, change their stream URL, or restrict access at any time.
• Radio content may include music, talk shows, news, and advertisements controlled by the stations themselves. We have no say over what they broadcast.
• If you're a station owner and want your stream added, removed, or updated, get in touch with us.

5. Games

We offer word games and puzzles like Shabda (a Nepali word game), Crossword, Sudoku, and Bagchal. Here's what you should know:

• Some games are available on the website, others only in the iOS app. We'll keep adding more over time.
• Daily games (like Shabda and Crossword) reset at midnight Nepal time. Everyone gets the same puzzle each day.
• Your game stats and streaks are saved locally on your device. If you clear your browser data or delete the app, you'll lose that progress.
• Games are meant to be fun. We don't offer prizes or gambling of any kind.

6. Market data

We display forex rates, gold and silver prices, and fuel prices for Nepal. This data comes from public sources like Nepal Rastra Bank and the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association.

• Market data is provided for general information only. Don't use it to make financial decisions without checking official sources first.
• We try to keep data current, but there may be delays. Rates can change throughout the day, and we can't guarantee real-time accuracy.
• We're not responsible for any losses that result from relying on market information displayed on Chautari Hub.

7. Accounts

Keep your login details safe. If you think someone else has access to your account, let us know right away. We can suspend accounts that are involved in abuse or automated scraping.

8. Content ownership

• News articles, photos, audio, and video belong to the publishers who created them. We show titles, excerpts, and thumbnails to help drive traffic back to those outlets.
• Radio streams belong to the radio stations. We just provide a convenient way to listen.
• If you're a publisher or station owner and think we've got something wrong, contact us with the details. We'll respond quickly and take down disputed content while we sort things out.
• Anything you submit (feedback, bug reports, etc.) stays yours. By sending it, you give us permission to use it to improve the service.

9. Availability

We try to keep things running smoothly, but we can't promise 100% uptime. Features may change, get removed, or launch in beta without much warning. If something big is changing—especially if it affects your saved data—we'll try to give you a heads up. Chautari Hub is free to use for now.

10. Disclaimer

Everything on Chautari Hub is provided "as is". We try to include reputable sources, but we don't fact-check every story or verify every market rate. We don't endorse the opinions of publishers or radio stations. Use your own judgement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Chautari Hub won't be on the hook for indirect or consequential damages from using the service. If we are found liable for something, the maximum we'll pay is NPR 5,000.

12. Third-party links

We link to external websites and radio streams. Once you leave Chautari Hub, their terms and privacy policies apply. We're not responsible for what happens on their end.

13. Termination

You can stop using Chautari Hub whenever you want. We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. If your account is terminated, we'll delete your data from our systems, though some records might stick around in encrypted backups for a while.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as we add features or change how things work. We'll update the date at the top, and for big changes we'll let you know through the app or website. If you keep using Chautari Hub after changes go live, that means you accept the new terms.
